The Southdowns are run alongside a commercial flock of 150 Mules/Suffolk x Mules which are mainly tupped by Southdowns. Grazing is on 140 acres of a mixture of traditional downland permanent pasture (in HLS) and new leys. Creep feed is used sparingly for lambs in the early spring when grass is in short supply.
